A YouTuber that is a fan of VGH sent me this article the other day and I wanted to share it with you guys.  Until now I did not realize the process in which the 3DS creates a 3D image and found it very interesting.  Enjoy.

Enjoying 3D without the need of special glasses is great but did you ever ask yourself how the autostereoscopic 3D on your Nintendo 3DS works?

Nintendo uses a technology called ''Parallax barrier" wich is a device placed in front of an image source to allow the viewer to see autostereoscopic images. The parallax barrier consists of a layer of material with a series of precision slits, allowing each eye to see different sets of images that when they are put together in one image, form a 3D effect.
